What is Sandblasting?
The Decorative glass of the last century used etching to produce a frosted pattern on the glass.
Now we use Sandblasting to achieve the same effect.
Sandblasting is exactly what it sounds like. A fine abrasive is sprayed, under high pressure, onto the glass removing the surface of the glass. The design is created by masking off areas with a protective film and blasting the unprotected areas. The blasted areas become frosted while the protected areas remain unaffected.
Sandblasting is a great way to create designs on both mirrors and clear glass.
Designs can range from a simple border to a business logo.
